Bradley Lake Ski
February 12, 1994

Detroit District, Willamette National Forest
This was a trip whose destination changed several times as we went along. Originally the plan was to simply try and ski to Bradley Lake. Well, it went quite well and we were able to find it relatively quickly. We were there by 12:00 and had lunch, where despite full sun, the wind made it a little cold.

We decided to explore more and headed cross-country to Chris Lake, which turned out to be just a climb up a clear-cut ridge. We skied around Chris Lake and then looking up we noticed a building on the ridge. So, our destination changed again as we decided to find out what it was. We discovered it was evidently a ski shelter in construction! Later, upon calling the Detroit Ranger Station I learned that this was in the process of becoming the Mt View Shelter.
