Notes:The Lightning Bolt Trail takes it's name from the zig-zag lightning like route the trail takes as is switchbacks up the steep rocky slope. It is a short, steep, trail to a good viewpoint over looking the park grounds and the Colorado River. It is also the entry trail to the other three trails in the park: Buckskin Trail, Abandoned Mines Trail, and Interruption Point Trail.
Be sure and pick-up a trail guide at the trailhead that has a small map of the trails and information on plants to be see along the trail.
Route:From Lake Havasu take Highway 95 south for 25 miles, or from Parker take Highway 95 north for 12 miles to Buckskin Mountain State Park.
