Notes:Applegate Lake is a Corps of Engineers reservoir built for flood control in southwestern Oregon just north of the California Border. With several campgrounds and miles of trails, to say nothing of the fishing opportunities, there is lots to do here.
Route:From Medford take Highway 238 towards Jacksonville and on to Ruch. Follow the Applegate River some 15 miles to the lake.
