Mew Gulls are winter visitors to our coast line and the Willamette Valley. They are smaller than our more common resident the Western Gull, and a much smaller bill. The top and bottom photos shows an adult plumage in winter, during their non-breed time when their head takes on a dirty look. The middle photo shows a Juvenile 1st winter plumage.
