Flower:Lily, Fawn
Family:Lily
Genus / Species:Erythronium oregonum
Notes:Trout Lily is another common name, and probably refers to the mottled leaves which suggest the colored pattern found on the back of a Brook trout.
All the species in the Erythronium genus are sometimes referred to as Dog's-tooth Violets interestingly enough because their corm is shaped like a dog's tooth.
