Jeanette and I hike slower than Allan, Joanne, and Bob, and we like to make an early morning start, so on day 3 we were on the trail by six AM and enjoyed the first rays of sun on the river.

| Butte Creek joining the Wenaha River There are very few signs along the Wenaha River Trail, and some times it takes some sharp eyes and good guesses, as was the case to catch the trail around the confluence of Butte Creek and the Wenaha River.
