Location Eagle Rock Hike |
Where: El Chorro Regional Park, California |
We are camped at El Chorro Regional Park west of San Luis Obispo with our friends Dan and Charlene Lawry. We had such a good time here last December that we were anxious to return and share this park, and hike the Eagle Rock Nature Trail with Dan & Charlene.

Jeanette, Dan & Charlene at the trailhead This is such a beautiful area with open rolling hills that give you great views. The trail to Eagle Rock is one of our favorites and from the trail you can see the Pacific Ocean and Morro Rock.

Jeanette points out a land mark Besides enjoying the great views, I was pleased to see my first wildflowers of spring: California Golden Violet, Coast Paintbrush, & Orange Bush Monkeyflower.

Dan with Cocoa & Buster at Eagle Rock California State Parks are a current pet peeve of mine in that they do not allow dogs on any of their trails. So, one of the big benefits for us about El Chorro Regional Park is that it is a San Luis Obispo County Park and the county does allow dogs on the trails. :) |
