Location Bradley Lake Ski |
Where: Detroit District, Willamette National Forest |
Because we're retired and we can, Ron Noble and I choose to ski on Monday and avoid the "weekend crowd" in the mountains. We parked at the Big Meadows Road and skied up the road for about a mile, turning right at the first junction. The weekend traffic had cut deep tracks into the snow and it wasn't until we had made a couple of more turns that we where able to leave these tracks and find our way on a smooth surface.

Ron at Bradley Lake We reversed our route for the return trip, which was mostly down hill. Our whole day was blue skies and bright sunshine before re-entering the fog of the valley outside of Stayton.
